Glass is one of the first things that comes to mind when you think of Czechia. We have been producing it since the 13th century. Cut and engraved crystal, blown and fused glass – excellent glassmaking schools and glassworks have operated here for centuries. But it is also the mastery of outstanding glass artists that has put us at the forefront. Not everything is allowed in glass. It is a material with a soul, requiring empathy and humility on the part of the artist, requiring dialogue.
